Reliable Communication and Data Acquisition Project of KSEBL intend to create a state-of-the-art communication system using optical fibre cable and associated terminal equipments for high-speed communication facility enabling real time Grid management, protection system coordination, System operation, SCADA& PMU support and all other allied services in respect of Grid management that requires high speed Reliable Communication connectivity.

Ministry of Power, Government of India had approved the scheme for the project and accorded sanction for an amount of ₹147.52 Cr with 50% grant component from PSDF.

 As part of Reliable Communication and Data Acquisition Project , optical fibre connectivity to all 110kV & above substations  in Kerala and data acquisition to the SLDC is being implemented.

 The project is scheduled for completion by May 2024. Installation and commissioning of OPGW(Optical Ground Wire) , RTUs(Remote Terminal Units), auxiliary supply system, related infrastructure at the substations etc is progressing.
