SAMAST
This project envisages providing a proper framework and technically enabled hardware and software platform to achieve automation and IT-enabled transparent operations of Load Dispatch functions including Scheduling, Accounting, Metering and Settlement of Transactions and forecasting, Bidding/Trading, and Reporting. The proposed project is envisaged to bring sufficient visibility, accuracy, and timeliness to the whole process and to achieve significant improvement in operational efficiency and transparency in tune with the modern market changes and also to ensure the timely service to all beneficiaries, so as to have possible manual intervention in the processes which are getting more and more complex, particularly in the context of variable renewable energy integration, multiple generators within the state and across the nation and various forms of power purchase contracts and energy markets. The SAMAST software will also be an effective tool to perform various business and operational functions efficiently, like monitoring and enforcing grid code compliance by constituents, Optimal Intrastate Scheduling and Dispatch operations, AMR, Forecasting, Web applications including Open Access and Back-office automation, Energy accounting and Billing, Deviation Settlements, Report generation etc.
