Procedure
Apprenticeship trainings is being given to the Degree/Diploma holders at KSEBL in 2 categories namely, Paid apprenticeship and Unpaid apprenticeship.
Paid Apprenticeship:
Paid Apprenticeship is being given to fresh Degree/Diploma holders based on the directions from Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region). Users can access information pertaining to apprenticeship training, implementing agency, beneficiaries and engagement process etc from the website of the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region). The interested candidates should register to the web portal of Board of Apprenticeship Training. Stipend is payable to Graduate, Diploma and Technician (vocational) apprentices for one year training as per rules.
(ITI/Certificate)Apprentices
Degree/Diploma holders shall obtain registration number from the Department of Technical Education, Supervisory Development Centre, NAD Road, Kalamassery. Those who have obtained registration number can participate in the walk-in-interview, scheduled by the Board of Apprenticeship, Chennai in co-ordination with Supervisory Development Centre, Kalamassery at various venues. (Notification will be published in the most circulated dailies).

Unpaid apprenticeship:
Unpaid apprenticeship training is being given to the students for 6 months only. Chief Engineer (HRM) is the sanctioning authorityfor the same. For joining as unpaid apprentice in KSEBL, the students should produce the following details
- Student’s request
- Attested copy of the Degree certificate/Provisional certificate
- Attested copy of photo identity card (Voters id, Driving license, SSLC, etc.)
Apart from the above, students should execute an Indemnity Bond on stamp paper worth Rs.200/- before the commencement of the training.
