Bhoothathankettu SHEP

Background:

The Bhoothathankettu SHE Project proposes to utilize the water from Bhoothathankettu irrigation barrage. The scheme is planned as a run off the river scheme utilizing the storage of the existing reservoir of the Periyar valley irrigation project less its irrigation releases.

Project Approval:

KSE Board accorded Administrative sanction on 10.10.2013 for an amount of Rs.231.21 Crore at 2012 Schedule of rates.

Contract for the Civil Work:

Civil work awarded to Sree Saravana Engineering Bhavani Pvt. Ltd.- RPP Infra Projects Ltd. Joint Venture and agreement executed on 07.03.2014.  

Agreed PAC -   Rs. 86.81 Cr.

Actual date of commencement – 15.02.2014.

Official date of completion     -   14.02.2016

Progress achieved- 99.70%

Contract for E&M Work:

E&M work awarded to M/s. Sree Saravana Engineering Bhavani Pvt. Ltd. – Hunan Zhaoyang Generating Equipment Co.Ltd.- Consortium and agreement executed on 18.03.2015.  

Agreed PAC  Rs.81.80 Cr.

Actual date of Commencement – 05.12.2015.

Official Date of Completion -03.08.2016.
