TMR Division Angamaly located at Angamaly in Ernakulam District is headed by the Executive Engineer under the administrative control of the Deputy Chief Engineer, Electrical Circle under the Distribution central region. There are 3 subdivisions and TMR stores under the TMR division Angamaly namely Transformer Maintenance Subdivision, Meter testing Subdivision, and HT Meter Testing Subdivision and Store.

A transformer repairing workshop is working under this subdivision for repairing faulty transformers received from field offices. During last year 422 transformers of different capacities ranging from 63kVA-500kVA were repaired and tested in this workshop. A coil winding unit is also working under this subdivision. A mobile transformer repairing unit working under this subdivision attends all the field complaints from various sections under Electrical Circle Perumbavoor & Ernakulam.

Meter Testing subdivision

The meter testing laboratory of Angamaly TMR is the first in KSEBL to get NABL accreditation which was got in 2014. Meters purchased by consumers and challenged meters under the Distribution Central zone are tested in this laboratory. Tender sample evaluation and purchase sample evaluation are also carried out here.
Also, Angamaly TMR is the only TMR which got a modern test bench facility for testing CT/PT units up to 33kV. The outdoor meter testing unit caters to approximately 2200 HT & 26EHT consumers including BPCL Cochin refinery(220kV) and Infopark (220kV) consumers are there under Electrical Circle Ernakulam, Perumbavoor, Irinjalakuda & Transmission Circle, Kalamassery.
