Adyanpara Small Hydro Electric Project ( 3.5 MW)

Synopsis

Overview

Adyanpara SHEP (2x1.5 MW + 1x0.5 MW) is the one and only generating station in Malappuram district. The project was commissioned on 03.09.2015. The project consists of two numbers of 1.5 MW and one number of 0.5MW generators and an expected annual generation of 9.01MU.The civil structures includes mainly a weir in kanjirappuzha river, 976 m tunnel, Surge well, Valve House, 260 m penstock and the power house building. This is a runoff river scheme with an expected yielding period from June to January of each financial year. The generating voltage is 3.3 kV and step up to 33 kV using a generator transformer of 5 MVA capacity. Power from the plant is connecting to the grid through the 33 kV bus of 110 kV Substation Nilambur and 33 kV substation Pothukallu. The 13.5 kM, 33 kV power transmission line from power house to 110 kV Substation Nilambur is under the custody of Akampadam Electrical Section.
