PAZHASSI SAGAR SHEP

Background:

The Pazhassi Sagar Small Hydro Electric Project is a Dam Toe Scheme on the existing Pazhassi Sagar Barrage of Irrigation Department.  The project is aimed to utilize the spill water of Pazhassi Sagar Barriage to generate power during rainy season.  The power generated from this Project is proposed to be fed to 110kV Substation, Mattannur which is around 1km from the project site.

Project Approval:

KSEBL accorded Revised Administrative Sanction on 17.03.2020 for Rs. 113.02 Crores at 2018 price level.

Contract for the Civil Work:

Civil construction work awarded to M/s R S Development and Constructions India Pvt.Ltd and agreement executed on 26.10.2017.

Agreed PAC -   Rs.46.41 Cr.

Actual date of commencement – 27.10.2017.

Official date of completion     -   24.04.2020.

Progress achieved - 42.18%

Contract for the E&M Work:

E&M work awarded to M/s Kirloskar Brothers Pvt.Ltd., Mahrashtra and agreement executed on 08.02.2021.

Agreed PAC -           Rs.48.27 Cr.

Actual date of Commencement – 15.02.2021.

Official Date of Completion -10.02.2023.

Progress achieved – 1.80%

The expected date of completion of the Project- 30.04.2024.
