Pilot proposed in a 95 Consumer rural hamlet: A rural hamlet at Pappanpara in Idukki Dist. will be powered by Solar (80kW), Wind (250kW), BESS (75kW/150kW) & Smart Grid support. 2 kW each on rooftop of 40 houses, if roof is Pucca or as Ground mounted Solar on 20 Cents of revenue land. Revenue land at Mankuthimedu is available for Wind generator installation.
A  Micro grid project with RE Generation support and energy storage facility (installing 80 KW Solar and a Wind generator of 250kW) together with Battery Energy Storage System of 75kW/150kWH capacity is proposed at Pappanpara, Idukki. For implementing the project Rs.1.3Cr is allocated from GoK Innovation and ESCOT Fund.
