Brief History :

Chembukadave 1 SHEP having installed capacity of 2.7MW(0.9MWx3) is operated and controlled by Kerala state Electricity Board Ltd.Chembukadave SHEP 1is located at Chalipuzha, Kodenchry village, Thamarassery Taluk, Kozhikode District. SHEP 1 has a a trench type diversion weir, near vattchira across Chalipuzha. The water is diverted through a concrete lined contour channel on the right bank to fore bay situated on top of the hill. From there water is taken through a single penstock,   which is branched into three, to feed three machines of 900kw each in the powerhouse .The tail water is utilised for power generation under stage 2.
