Vehicle-to-Grid Pilot Project by KSEBL

Introduction:

The Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) project proposed by the Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL) aims to integrate electric vehicles (EVs) into the power grid to facilitate bidirectional energy flow. Smart charging algorithms will prioritise charging during off-peak hours and discharging during peak demand, ensuring grid stability and minimising strain on the grid.


3. Collaboration with Automakers:

KSEBL will collaborate with electric vehicle manufacturers to ensure compatibility between EV models and the V2G system. This will involve working with automakers to enable bi-directional charging capabilities in EV batteries and ensuring the seamless integration of V2G functionalities.
